
How do you submit your own design for a (foil) embossing?
A own design on an album placing makes the product even more unique than it already is.
Some people find it quite difficult to provide the correct file, and we would like to help you with that!
Below you will find a selection of 3 options of programs that you can use.
Canva (Pro)
This platform is becoming increasingly popular and is also one of the easiest design programs. There are countless examples available, and you can create the most beautiful designs without any graphic knowledge.
In Canva Pro you have the option to to save the design as .SVG. That means you save it as a vector file. That's all you need to do! Super easy.
Don't have Canva pro? Share your project with us, and we will save it as an svg file. Info@yellow-rebel.nl
Illustrator
When you have finished the design, convert the text to letter outlines. You can do this easily by the text you want to convert to select. Go to Text > Create Outlines or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + O
Note! that you do this for all text elements.
You then save the file as .eps

Inkscape
This is the free counterpart of Illustrator, making it accessible to everyone.
As soon as you are done with the design, save it as encapsulated postscript (*eps)
Then a pop-up appears and it is important that you indicate to this to convert to paths & rasterize SVG filter effects.
Then press OK and your file is saved as eps with letter outline.
If you have received another high-resolution file from your client, we can always look into the possibilities to help you convert it to a vector file. Costs on request.
